"Remember remember the fifth of november, the gunpowder treason and plot. I see no reason why gunpowder and treason should ever be forgot"... has anyone seen 'V for Vendetta'?
So we're continuing work on our chapel project, and they decided to throw us a curveball -- in addition to our chapel and garden that was supposed to take up close to 1/3 of the space (roughly 6400 sqft), we now must use the rest of the space to create a rectory that houses 10-20 priests, including a dining hall and other assorted amenities. Buildings were so much easier to create when all I had to worry about was "do I have enough virtual money to build the house in Sims?" ... since we're slowly but surely learning about all of the different zoning codes, there are a lot of things we have to watch out for. For example, my chapel had to be recreated because while it was spacious outside, someone with a weelchair wouldn't be able to access the main doors -- a violation of the ADA.
Sorry, but that's all I have time for right now! I'll post pictures soon with my progress on the chapel/gardens. Love and miss all of you!
Wow... I beat Grandma and Aunt Bridgey to posting the first comment!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like they want you to experience the joy of working with clients that change their minds! Do you want Father Anthony to tell you whta makes a good rectory? I think I can find his email address if you want it. Hope your getting some rest. I love ya!

Daddy gloated all around the house that he was the first to read your new blog and to post. Grandma's internet was down ... hmmm... sounds awfully suspicious ... We can't wait to hear about your progress. I hope you have a great week, and I am so glad to hear that you have plans with your friends on your birthday. Make sure there is an extra chair available in case the pink package arrives! ReplyDeleteHi Angel,
ReplyDeleteyour blog clock is off by 3 hours, which is important because 19 years ago this minute, 4:51pm (not 1:51pm), you arrived in our world and made my wish come true. I dreamed about you and prayed for you and wished for you long before 11/12/1991, and when you arrived, you were, and will always be, an answer to my prayer! I am filled with the wonder of wonderful you, and I love you more each day!!!
